Blog Post #3 - Metals
Due October 30th
Now that we are finished with our unit on metals please take a moment to reflect on the projects you have made.
Projects:
Formative Heart
Formative Bracelet
Summative Pendant
Summative Ring
What did you think about working with metals? Did you like it/hate it/no real feeling either way? Whichever one you choose, why do you feel this way? What was difficult and what was easy? Think about the process. You had to do the following:
Design it
Cut it with the saw
Sand it
File it
Add textures
Sand it more
Buff it
Did these things come easy for you or were they difficult? Please post a picture of at least one of your Summative metal projects. (Your projects are on my desk in a tupperware bin.) Tell me about this project, what you did to make it, and whether or not you are happy with the end product.

Blog Post #2 - Artprize
Due October 2nd
Art Prize
In paragraph form and in your own words, please tell me about the art exhibit called Art Prize.
What is Art Prize?
Where is it located?
What are the dates it is going on?
What is the top prize amount for the winning artwork and who decides who wins?
Look though some of the artists who are represented through Art Prize. Find one that you really like. Include the link to this work and, if you can, put in a picture of the work. (If you are unable, see me first.) Why did you choose this one as one of your favorites? Don’t just tell me that you think it looks “cool.” Be specific about what you like.
